  Not over protected, Genius. A carefully planed out plot to make her daughter more of a home body. She probably doesn’t want her to leave/ move out or she might commit suicide. Shes raising her daughter to take care of her when she is older. And if the daughter does try and “escape” to a normal life, the mother will show her those journals and guilt trip her not to leave.
QUESTION:
Is this a bad thing, or am I just excited?
Okay well me and my husband are trying for baby number one and we’ve tried really hard not to buy any baby stuff so early but we’ve ended up with a few things and I have a huuuuge wish list. My best friend is having her second baby next month, she has an 11 month old, and heres what her and her husband have- a crib, a car seat, few outfits, diapering tools, manicure set and umbrella stroller, and for their oldest a box of toys, and they are content, and the little girl is happy and healthy. But it makes me feel weird because I want so much more than the bare minimum. My wish list (of necessities) includes a breast pump, bassinet, stroller/car seat combo, carrier sling, swing, bath tub, diaper table, high chair, rocking chair, bottle warmer, more than one diaper bag, specific bottles, you get the picture, I don’t go as far as a diaper genie, wipe warmer, bottle sterilizer etc. but I do want these things because I think they will make life easier once we have a child. Am I going to seem weird? She thinks those things are odd to get yet all of them seem very useful to me. In the last week I hit some killer sales and ended up with a mickey mouse diaper bag, an infantino sling, and an evenflo snugl carrier, and I’m just wondering if my wish list is realistic.
Ps: I know its odd to buy baby stuff before we’re pregnant but for the bag and both slings, in box, I paid , talk about savings, like !

  Everyone is different. Do you NEED all of those things? Probably not. But they make life easier, and if you’re buying things in advance I don’t think it’ll be a huge deal financially by the time the baby is born.
  My grandma said all she had was a crib, changing table and a playpen for her babies LOL

Was I ever really crazy?
Apparently I was. Considering that I was in a room with a man I had never met before, he told me his name was David, my therapist, and he wanted to help me with whatever problems in my life. Though, what was I to tell him if I hadn’t even known the true reason I was here. The small clock on the wall ticked loudly and it was beginning to irritate me beyond belief. And since when did he put a clock in here? The walls were riddled with pictures of teenagers with the most depressed faces I had ever seen and right beside it was a happy girl with a teddy bear. The room was a bland beige color.
“Alright, let’s try an exercise where you only focus on my voice. Let all the unnecessary sounds out, breathe in deeply and try to relax.” David said while leaning back in his chair; folding his hands and placing them on his stomach. He was a very large man both in size and stature, a thick beard covered his top lip and his wired rimmed glasses were perched on his nose.
I sighed and closed my eyes. “Just let everything fade except for my voice. . .”
“You can start by turning off that clock it’s irritating the crap out of me.” I said while opening my eyes. He sighed and I could hear the chair squeak as he got up. His soft footsteps sounded on the carpet and could make out the sound of the clock being switched off and a soft tap as he placed it on the table beside a picture of his wife and children. I closed my eyes again.
“Okay, it’s off.” he said calmly and he returned to his chair making it screech again. “Now I’m going to ask you some questions about your personal life and what you wouldn’t necessarily feel comfortable with telling your parents. Remember that I am only here for your well-being.”
I groaned. Couldn’t he just diagnose me as the morbidly insane? After all that is what I was here for, right? He cleared throat.
“How was your childhood?” he asked.
“Well, when I was four I almost suffered from a heart attack at the site of Mickey Mouse when my family took a trip to Disney Land that was fun. A year later at my fifth birthday party my kindergarten crush kissed me on the cheek then I pushed him because all the girls said he had cooties. Nothing spectacular happened to me when I was six so, I’ll just skip that year, come to think of it turning seven wasn’t such a big thing either. . . But when I turned eight everything seemed to change I began to act differently and well. . . now I’m this seventeen year old girl who has been depressed over something I just can’t seem to put my finger on. . .”
“Does it have to deal with your parents’ divorce?” his voice flowed into the silence.
“No, not at all. When I was young I knew from the start that not everyone can stay together you know, this love thing is just so overrated and they always seemed to fight over the most stupid things. My parents didn’t love each other so why would I be hurt by the divorce?” I asked him but also asked myself.
I could hear him shift in his chair; he was silent for a while probably looking through his flash cards to see what question to ask next. “Have you ever had any conflicts at school?”
I laughed to myself. “Where do I begin?”
“Let’s start off in high school; you are still in high school correct?”
“Yeah, I am.”
He cleared his throat. “Please begin.”
“When I first became a freshman my older brother had tried to explain the ropes to me, you know. He told me to avoid sitting with anyone that looked like they were labeled as a social leper. He wanted me to establish myself as Julie Cox and not just the little sister of the infamous Aaron Cox, all the teachers hated him.” I laughed, “But all the girls loved him; he always went out with a new girl every time I saw him. Guys wanted to be him at least that’s what he told me. . . He said that first impressions were everything and if I ruined it then that was it. Done deal. There was no rewind button I was stuck in whatever social group people placed me in. Unfortunately, I made the wrong choice and I was put at the bottom of the food chain. Everything you could ever imagine happened to me within the first two months of being in high school. I had people trip me, food was thrown at me, and all the popular girls gave me hell me in gym, they even went as far to taking all of my clothes and throwing them in the mud. That was the worst day in my entire life. I had to walk around school in some makeshift clothes I had rummaged through in the lost and found. They were so itchy and they reeked of sweat.”

My Personal Review On Tadpoles 16 Sq Ft Playmat Set

NO is an inch thick We just got this mat. So far it looks good. The provisions on the carpeted floor, turned it on foot socks, and not separate. I am sure that with time my daughter will be able to separate them, but hopefully by then she’ll be dropping more than less.

I would give this high marks, except that the carpet is, at most, half an inch thick. The product description says 1 inch. Since the carpet is actually destined for a hardwood floor, I’m not sure we will follow is b / c the thickness.

UPDATE

I investigated other options carpet and found that all the carpets in this price range are 5 / 8 “thick. Therefore, the thickness is what you get with all tile rugs. We walked around it all the time, and not come away. My daughter has started to pull away the tables, but the material is durable and not straight. Even chewing on the extra edge parts (we have a couple of games to cover the entire space) and do not break into smaller pieces.

The seat harness can be adjusted back to approximately 7.5 “from the front edge of the seat and also again to about 9.” The very back of the booster sits 12 “again without the seat / harness in use. The foam can cause cancer I have these earlier this year. Very happy with them, I thought my daughter loves to draw letters and chewing. Now I’m really Concero because I just read that the foam mats are banned due to cancer-causing chemicals in the foam of Europe.

Formamides are used to soften the foam in the carpet, but they are corrosive and can be fatal. Alfred toxicologist Bernard said: “They are solvent, manufacturing process residues that remain in the product later. They can be absorbed through breathing or skin. In general, children should not be exposed to these products.”

Belgium becomes the first European country to ban the mats and imposing a fine of 20,000 euros for anyone found selling them. Jean-Philippe Ducart, a spokesman for a consumer watchdog, said:

“They will be illegal in 2011, but meanwhile I ask you to be withdrawn from the market in the interest of public health and the health of children exposed to them.”

The EU-wide ban on the mats is expected within the next few years.

In November, the EU bans the sale of plastic baby bottles containing bisphenol A, a compound that the evidence suggests that adversely affect the health of babies.

Excellent Mini Crib Mattress So you are buying a crib mini / portable crib … First, just know some come with Rinky-dink, less than 3 / 4 “thick foam, fourth mattress. What I do not have equals mattress. whay not go with a company that specializes in mattresses children. This Colgate mattress is great because it is breathable, eco-friendly and fits comfortably in the cradle mini Delta bought at the store Babies R Us. (I think it’s also on Amazon.) One thing I learned in search is that mattresses are cheaper, but you really get what you pay and a price difference of about $ 20 (for a 3 “mattress) and Why not buy a mattress that is best for your baby. Also note that NOT ALL mini cribs are a standard size! I went back to Babies R Us to measure the home and compared with the specifications set – which luckily worked for us.

My Personal Review OnUPPAbaby Vista Bassinet Rain Cover, Clear

Just a great all baby stroller … During the 9 + months of my little girl 13 weeks old baby I have researched every car in the U.S. / EU and South Korea, because that is where my wife and I worked as a residence for the U.S. State Dept. . After looking at all possible strollers, travel systems and strollers umbrella, and every imaginable combination. Finally, my wife and I decided that the UPPAbaby Vista stroller 2010, along with seat-Car w / adapter Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat, Adventure.

Well, I can say I’m 99.9% happy with my purchase and feel I have my money’s worth for it. Please know that I do not think the UPPAbaby 2010 or any other car is perfect, however, this car only covers everything we needed. First I would like to say that for a height / car systems seems to me that despite the fact that there is a light car I think this is a good manageable weight. Also I have to mention that a great feature of this stroller is incredibly large basket underneath, we use constantly as we go everywhere with Erica and Visit UPPAbaby and we carry out shopping, and anything, thank you .

Now, about the “stroller” I would feel very comfortable to hold and it was ideal to bring Erica pleasant walks in the Korean winter, spring and early summer now. Also, having the ability to change as needed between the “buggy” fixing and Chicco Keyfit 30 is very easy to take little effort to lock and unlock the car seat adapter, it just works! I would like to comment also on the design with floating rainbow “no no” rear axle is great as I am 6’2 “and set a button telescopic handle high I have no problem walking never hit the back of the stroller rear axle.

I also love the fact that it includes the net and rain cover for the pram and Seat, unfortunately, the rain cover stroller is not included and costs an additional $ 19.95, I ordered through Amazon and it worked fine but should be less expensive. As for the “Cup Holder” UPPAbaby Vista Cup Holder accessory base in many reviews, it just looks very poorly designed, so I bought it. Instead, you might consider the Sunshine Kids Buggy Buddy Car Accessories, which fits perfectly in this car. Sunshine Kids Buggy Buddy car accessories.

Finally, you must purchase the “Shady Baby” Sock Monkey Car ShadyBaby parasol Parasol, SPF 50 + Car Umbrella – 24 “diameter complete only UPPAbaby Vista adding great shade for baby and just protecting 50UFP is well connected the stroller, and I do not even need to remove when folding the stroller!

My Personal Review OnWubbanub Infant Pacifier – Lamb

These are the best Wubbanubs bought three for my daughter. One was the lamb here. You have to like pacifiers soothie to use these because that’s the kind of paci that binds them all. I started my baby with them when he was 2 weeks old. They totally helped keep his paci when he fell from his mouth, because the toy does not fall far. Sometimes it drops right in front of her mouth and she is able to suck back in. She is 5 1 / 2 months old now and have never lost one. They are machine washable in a cycle of light and then air dry. Wash well. Now that my daughter a few months, loves huging and grabbing the animal attached to the PACI, and now you can put it back in your mouth for your account. I’d highly recommend to anyone. They are a great toy and a paci in and is like the first beautiful baby.

My Personal Review OnFisher-Price Newborn Rock ‘n Play Sleeper

Great at first, but be careful I am a mom for the second time and just bought this for my newborn son. I fell in love instantly. It is lightweight, portable baby to sleep as soon as I put in it. My baby naps and slept at night in this bed. It worked like a dream, like all other reviewers say. We have used this product exclusively for sleeping, and says right on the table – “approved for sleep.”

Everything was fine until my son was 2 months old. I noticed that the head tended to fall to one side in particular and neck strength was not progressing as well as it should. He was also beginning to develop a flat spot on the right side of his head, where the angles in bed. Can not tell from the picture, but this bed has a hard flat support under the padding. This angle drive support inward all the way up both sides of the bed. Because the bed is tilted, these angle brackets difficult to provide a place for a newborn to rest the head or to the right or left. This drive is compatible also cause an infant to fall back towards the inside – not great for the baby to rapidly develop the muscles of the neck and shoulder.

My son is 2 months checkup, was diagnosed with a mild torticollis on the right side (short / tight neck muscles) and the beginnings of plagiocephaly (flat head). He is now 3 months old and in physical therapy weekly. We hope you will not have to get a helmet. I only used this product for sleep, but for a newborn, a 14 to 18 hours per day.

If you receive this product, I pay special attention to your baby’s shoulders, neck and head placement. Run your fingers along the back of the fill and feel, where it is difficult and angles inward on both sides. Is it pushing on the shoulders of his son? Does your child’s head lean over to one side? Use your best judgment. Perhaps the occasional use as a seat would be nice, but no child should spend all their hours of sleep in this widget. I just bothers me that it took two months to figure that out.

Most stars 5 reviews were written in the first days or weeks to have the product. It would be interesting to see how many of those same children are having problems with neck and head …

This is a relatively new product. I truly believe that end reclassified as an infant seat in place of a bed. Please be careful, do not make the same mistake we did.

  I thought they looked small too. I actually think they look more like a booster then a high chair. My 17 month old daughter fits in her high chair still, with room to grow, but i know she would be too big for the space saver high chair. She could use it pulled up to the table, but i think with the tray on it would be a tight squeeze, like it would be with a booster seat tray. I live in a small apt. and still bought a high chair and it fits fine. I just don’t think i’d watse the money on the space saver, if anything just buy a booster with a tray instead, it’s pretty much the same thing only cheaper.
